Nava Aura is a markdown editor and reader with text-to-speech capabilities. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Nava Aura does not collect, store, or transmit your documents, content, or any personally identifiable information.
Data Collection
All documents are stored locally on your device
No collection of content, prompts, or personal identifiers
No account or external sign-in required
No cloud storage. Documents stay on your device.
No advertising
Apple Intelligence
Smart Summary, Auto-Tag, Writing Assist, and Ask Maya run entirely on-device using Apple's Foundation Models. No data is sent to any server.
Speech Synthesis
Agent Maya / The Resonance uses Apple's on-device AVSpeechSynthesizer. No audio is transmitted.
Camera OCR
Processing happens on-device using Apple's Vision framework. No images are stored or transmitted.
All processing is on-device. Nothing leaves your hardware.
Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
For scanning physical documents via OCR. Images are processed on-device and never stored or transmitted.
For Apple’s built-in dictation feature (controlled by iOS, not the app).
For Apple’s built-in dictation feature.
Nava Aura uses Face ID to unlock the app and protect your private documents. Biometric sign-in is only active if enabled in Settings.
Spotlight Search
OptionalIf enabled in Settings, document titles and content are indexed in iOS Spotlight for search. This data stays on your device and is managed by iOS.
Biometric Sign-In
OptionalIf enabled in Settings, Nava Aura uses Apple's biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID, depending on your device) to lock and unlock the app, adding an extra layer of protection for your documents. Biometric data is managed entirely by iOS and is never accessed or stored by Nava Aura.
Background Audio
Nava Aura uses Background Modes to continue audio playback when the app is not in the foreground. This allows Agent Maya / The Resonance to read your documents aloud while you use other apps. No data is transmitted during background playback.
Anonymous Diagnostics
Nava Aura collects anonymous diagnostic and usage data to improve performance and reliability. The data is not linked to you, contains no personal information, and never includes your documents, prompts, or any content you create.
You can turn off all collection anytime in Nava Aura → Settings → Security & Privacy → Diagnostics & Analytics. This in-app toggle is the complete control: when off, nothing is collected or sent.
Data Sharing
Nava Aura does not share data with any third parties. When you use the Share feature, iOS handles the sharing. We do not intercept or log shared content.
We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected in the app's Settings screen.
